Life is a struggle

" Stumbling onto one of these abandoned quarries and gazing at the ruins, you might be left wondering who had won the battle, men or stone"
This sentence is from the Scott Russell Sander's memory of saw dust. The extract is about the usage of Dominant Impression. The author primarily explains the "quarry" by describing the place from different perspectives and using lots of relevant terminology to srengthen his message to the reader. At the beginning it can be blurring to understand the context but later as you proceed by reading you can revael the puzzle. The extract desribes the physical condition of the quarry before and after the excavation in an eloborate manner that makes the reader continue reading it to the very end, anxious to figure out the outcome.
As a foreign student I did not know the literal meaning of "Quarry".Afterwards reading the whole extract, following Dominant Imtpressions I could figure it out in the end.Especially the terms "Excavate,Ruins,Bulldozer" helped a lot to find out the definition of "Quarry"
While reading the extract I came up with the above quote and it made me think of the world as a struggle because nothing is free. We have always strive to get things we want.Nobody is perfect. By stumbling and making errors we ultimately realize our wish.Once realizwd we receive the fruit of our endeovers. Therefore, the above quote implies that our life is struggle and we have to accept it. It is always pleasant and easier for me to relate the passage with my experiences and concepts.
